What are your regular hours?
Our normal store hours are from 10:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.
Do you have special Game Day hours?
Due to our close proximity to Tiger Stadium, we are closed on all home football game days in the fall. We would love to see you in our store on a game day but trust us, you don’t want to fight the traffic and parking!
Do you have special hours for Summer and Semester Breaks?
Balfour House may adjusts store hours when LSU is out of session and during the summer since foot traffic in the store drops when there are no students around. But don’t worry, we always include our current store hours in our phone greeting so if you are concerned about our holiday or “between semesters” hours, please give us a call.
What are your holiday hours?
Balfour House is closed on New Year’s Day, Mardi Gras Monday and Tuesday(check your calendar because it changes dates every year!), Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We sometimes close the store for a week during the summer and the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. Call us to be sure – we always include our current store hours in our phone greeting.

Who owns Balfour House?
Balfour House is owned by Pat(Fiji) and Angela(Phi Mu) Quint, LSU class of ’86. Learn more about us and the history of the store in the About Us section of this website.
How do you decide which organizations you carry inventory for in the store?
Balfour House offers merchandise for all fraternities and sororities that have chapters in Southeast Louisiana as well as Masonic and OES paraphernalia. Additionally, we can, and do, provide custom apparel for any organization (fraternity, sorority, Mason, OES, social clubs, school clubs, etc…) in the country. Give us a call to see if we can provide something for you!
Do you offer gift cards?
Gift certificates are available. They can be for a specific item (for example: “This gift certificate good for one Kappa Delta jersey”) or for any given dollar amount. Balfour House gift certificates are great gift ideas and are loved by our customers.
Do you have minimums on apparel?
Balfour House does not have any minimums. We will gladly do one or one million – just give us a little extra time to deliver on orders of 1 million!
What kind of apparel do you sell?
Balfour House stocks only quality brands such as Comfort Colors, Spirit Jerseys, American Apparel, Gildan, Game Jerseys, Teamwork, Charles River and Augusta, to name a few. We can also custom order almost any brand you are looking for so be sure to ask.
Is Balfour House licensed?
Will you ship my stuff to me?
Sure. Balfour House currently serves customers all across the country. You will be advised of your shipping cost at the time your order is placed.
Can I bring in my own apparel to have customized?
Certainly! A small service charge will be added to your order for items similar to those we sell in the store. Additionally, we will evaluate whether we can sew on your item when you bring it in as some apparel – particularly jackets - have proven to be too heavy or thick for our sewing machine.
Can I bring in my own fabric?
You bet! Our customers do it all the time! We’ve seen everything from dinner napkins to bolts of material! Whatever is unused will be returned to you with your finished item.
How long do I have to wait for you to make my custom apparel?
Balfour House will typically commit to completing your item within 7-14 days. It varies depending on how much we have in production at a given time, but we have been known to jump through hoops to keep a promised due date! If your item is ready prior to the due date, you will receive a call notifying you that it is in and ready to be picked up!
What about line jackets? Do they take longer?
Line jackets can take longer – especially those with artwork on the back. At the time you place your order, you will be given a due date that we commit to.
Will the pockets on my line jacket be sewn shut?
In most cases… yes, we must sew over the pocket of your line jacket.
Can I bring in my own design for the back of my line jacket?
Balfour House understands the pride you take in your line jacket and that it becomes a lifetime treasure. We also take great pride in the quality of our jacket artwork and ensure 100% customer satisfaction on every jacket that leaves our store. So the answer is yes, we can duplicate a design you’ve seen, design your own artwork based on pictures you provide, or develop unique artwork from scratch by talking through and listening to your idea. When you place your order with Balfour House, we take the time to talk with you about the details of your design and may suggest design tweaks based on our discussion that will help ensure we capture the idea or concept you are looking for. A unique step in our process is that we provide a proof of the artwork for your review and approval before we apply it to the jacket.

Definitely! Call us for a quote. We’d love to add your chapter or organization to our growing list of satisfied customers!
I have a cheaper quote from another store or website. Will you match it?
Bring us your written quote from another store or website and we’ll either beat it, match it, or tell you to take the good deal you’ve already got! Whatever happens, you win!
Can I have my order rushed?
We might be able to rush an order for an extra charge – it just depends on how busy we are at that time. Call and ask… but don’t be surprised when we have to ask you to hold for a sec – the manager is the only one that can approve a rush order!
Do you gift wrap?
Yes! We offer gift bags that are customized with tissue paper and ribbons that match the sorority/fraternity colors.

What is your return policy?
Assuming the item(s) are not used or damaged, Balfour House will offer you store credit. We do not accept returns on some custom apparel.
